Systems Administration Intern (Sydney)

Available role: Systems Administration Intern (Sydney)

Reports to: Managing Director

• 1-2 days/week systems administration internship at MOD Films
• 1 day/week max. in office (Internet access/basic desktop computer facilities provided in Fox Studios office, Sydney)
• 1 month to complete workplan.
• Subsequent workplan may be offered on the basis of successful completion

Primary Accountability

• Work with MOD Films staff and online community to maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and implement a series of activities to upgrade the MOD Films IT infrastructure
• Audit MOD Films IT infrastructure
• Research IT solutions to high priority issues
• Install and test revised solutions
• Prepare upgrade/migration plan for selected MOD Films systems
• Perform other duties to assist with the work of MOD Films as requested by the Manager.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Essential

• Linux, Mac and PC operating systems
• Version control systems
• Python and shell programming
• Understanding of open source software development process
• Good written/oral communication skills

Desirable

• Debian, git, Subversion, Amazon Web Services
• Open source software contributor
